This paper describes the development of the ability profiles for each occupational unit (OU) and their use in career exploration, specifically using the O*NET Ability Profiler. It includes coverage of the procedure for generating the OU-specific ability profiles, the procedure for linking clients' ability profiles to OU profiles, and the decision rules for determining the specific information that is presented within the career exploration tools.
