O*NET information is obtained through the O*NET Data Collection Program using a multiple method approach, including data from job incumbents, occupational experts, and occupational analysts. The O*NET system provides valid and reliable occupational information that may be useful for a variety of purposes, such as career counseling, development of job training programs, skill standards and labor market information. It should be noted that O*NET occupational information is composite information from many jobs and therefore is not intended to describe a particular job. Individuals may use O*NET products freely for their own personal use. If use includes developing other products, software, or system applications using O*NET products, users are subject to terms and conditions described in the O*NETTM Database Products User Agreement and should register their use with the National Center for O*NET Development at http://www.onetcenter.org/ or National Center for O*NET Development, North Carolina Department of Commerce, P.O. Box 27625, Raleigh, NC 27605.
Recipients of federal assistance from the U.S. Department of Labor need to ensure that individuals with disabilities are afforded an equal opportunity to use services based on O*NET information.
