An individual taking the WIL completes the following steps:
- reads an overview of the purpose of the tool and how he can use his results,
- learns how to complete the WIL,
- sorts cards describing different aspects of work, based on how important they are to him on his "ideal job,"
- learns how to self-score his WIL, and
- follows a simple set of steps to accurately get his results for six work values.
The following slides provide sample illustrations of some key parts of the WIL.
